We are having a great year for Puya berteroniana, with a dozen flowers stalks (more than it has ever had before). With those metallic blue-green flowers, and the contrasting orange pollen, people have a hard time believing it’s real. This is a large plant, with the tallest flower stalk topping out at a little over 11 feet (3.4 m).
I gotta go see this!
